Switching
classes
If you need to switch to a different class
please do the following:
1) "forward"
your "Registration Payment Acknowledgement (RPA)" email to
MichiganRegistrar@gmail.com
2) "copy/paste" the desired class description from this website
into the same email
3) Courtesy Copy the appropriate District Director of Instructions (DDI) for
that class
4) no need to check with the DDI or class contact regarding
seat availability
Note: if you cannot "forward" the RPA"
please make sure that you include your USSF ID in the email to the
Registrar.
Choosing a
class if not selected when you registered
If you did not select a class when you registered, please follow
the same directions as "Switching classes" above.
Summer 2009
Entry students registering for a Bridge class
If you wish to register for a Bridge
class and you took your Entry class in the Summer 2009 and
you are older than 14 and you have refereed for at least a season then...
...the system will not allow you to register online for 2010, so,
send an email to
MichiganRegistrar@gmail.com specifying your USSF ID, your name,
birthdate, and include a "copy/paste" from this website of the
description of the class that you wish to attend. You will receive
instructions on what to do next.
Other questions regarding registrations?

Types of Classes Offered
Entry Classes
For people that want to become a new Referee. This
will make you a grade 9. You will be able to be a Referee or an
Assistant Referee in Under-14 or younger recreational games. You
can also be an AR in Under-14 competitive games.
Bridge Classes
Allows grade 9 referees to upgrade to grade 8. This will allow you to
referee any games for which your assigner feels that you are qualified
based on your experience and abilities. For other upgrades, click

Recertification Classes
These classes
are required every year to maintain your current referee grade. There is
a class for grade 9, another class for grades 8 and 7, and a class for
grades 6 and 5 that is only offered usually the first weekend of
December. All Recertification classes take place in November and
December.
To get games...
...please click
"Assignors" on the left, then "Locate Assignor". You will find a list of
assignors in your county. Contact them to receive games.
If you take a class, your class instructor will discuss this subject
with you.

New State Youth Referee Administrator
Francisco
(Chico) Villarruel has been appointed the new State Youth Referee
Administrator (SYRA). Chico has been a District Director of Instructions
(DDI) for the last four years and worked with Michigan Referee Committee
on several projects. Chico replaces Pete Morrissey who was elected to
the position of Treasurer of the Michigan State Premier Soccer League
after 5 years as SYRA. The Michigan Referee Committee wishes to express
its appreciation and gratitude for his leadership and work with
Michigan’s youth referees. We offer Pete our best wishes in his new
leadership position, and welcome Chico for everything he has done so far
and for taking on this new responsibility. See the Menu item "Contact"

Do not register without choosing a
class!
Many of you received a post
card from US Soccer asking you to go to
https://www.ussoccer.info/
to register for a Recertification class. HOWEVER, before you register,
please make sure you have identified the location and date of a class
that is convenient to you. Once you find it, make sure you click it in
the "Referee Clinic Schedule Details"
section at the US Soccer website. When you enter the US Soccer website,
make sure you click "Referee" on the left
side menu.
All available classes are also posted at
www.msysareferee.net if you do
not see a convenient class, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL ONE IS AVAILABLE. Classes
are posted at least a month in advance. Check weekly the website.
Once again, please do not register without first identifying a
specific class at
www.msysareferee.net
