• The Registration Help on the right of this screen will answer most of your questions and give you directions on several issues.
•
Read the "Registration Process" in each class section for instructions on how to register for the class online.

•
Entry and Bridge classes Cost $60. No minimum age for Entry class, must be 14 to take Bridge class.
• If you wish to take a Bridge class and you took the Entry class within 12 months or so, the system will not allow you to register as a "Referee" and you will not see the class list; however, you will be able to register by mail. See Registration Help #2 for instructions.

Bridge class registration within 12 months from Entry class
If you took an Entry class within the last 12 months or so and refereed for one season, and you are at least 14 years old, you can take a Bridge class to upgrade from a Grade 9 to a Grade 8. However the Registration system does not allow you to register online but you can register by mail. Prepare the following:
 • a hard copy of the "Referee Registration 2010" screen from the https://www.ussoccer.info website. In the Section “I agree to the terms and conditions” place an X in the box and place your signature next to it after reading the Terms and Conditions.
 • a hardcopy of the webpage that has the class information, with the class of interest circled or paste the class posting information in a word document and print it
 • a $60 check to the order of Michigan Referee Committee
 • Mail the 3 items above to:
        Franco D’Anna
        Michigan Referee Registrar
        120 West 3rd Street – B&B
         Bicknell, IN 47512
• You will receive a confirmation email to the email address in your US Soccer profile (make sure it's correct). If within 5 days of you placing the envelope in the mailbox you do not receive a confirmation, send an email to  MichiganRegistrar@gmail.com and ask for a status.
• Print the whole confirmation email and bring it to the class
• Express Registration: If you send me an email with an image of the forms, class location and check that you placed in the mailbox, I will sign you up immediately.
• Note: This class will allow you to referee in the fall 2010 and you will be registered for the whole 2011 year.

Switching Classes
If you
need to switch to a different class please do the following:
    1) "forward" your "Payment Acknowledgement" email to MichiganRegistrar@gmail.com
    2) "copy/paste" the desired class description from this website into the same email. The Registrar will send you a confirmation email or advise you if there is no room in the class. There is no need to check with the class contact regarding seat availability.
     3) if your Payment Acknowledgement shows that you paid $55 and the class that you are switching to is an Entry or Bridge whose cost is $60, then you also need to mail a $5 check to the order of Michigan Referee Committee to:
        Franco D’Anna
        Michigan Referee Registrar
        120 West 3rd Street – B&B
         Bicknell, IN 47512
To have your class switch take effect as soon as I receive the email, include in your email to the Registrar also an image copy of the check.

Must Bring Proof of Risk Management
If you are 18 or older next January 1st, you must bring proof of Risk Management compliance to class. You will not get a badge in class without proof of RM. It takes about 7-10 days to receive approval, so apply well before class day.

Must Select a Class
When you register online, you should see a list of available classes before you reach the Payment section. If you do not see the list, do not go through the payment process, instead close the window and restart the registration. Remember, you must sign up for a class for your registration to be complete.

Walk-In's Registrations
Walk-ins will not receive a badge in class. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a place in class, especially if the class is full or close to being full.  Walk-ins may be allowed to stay in class, but  will not be able to register and pay in class and will not receive a badge. It is best not to walk-in a class, instead it's best to register online before going to class. If a Walk-in is accepted in the class, he/she will be asked to do the following after they take the class:
-
register and pay online (if the class is not available because the date is passed, register for the same type of class in a different location)
- "forward" the Payment Acknowledge-ment (PA) email received after the registration to their Instructor
- in the same email explain that you "walked in the class (specify which), registered online after the class, and now wish to receive a badge"
